5 Minute Workout

We’re all busy, and sometimes there just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day for a good workout. Well, even if you’re strapped for time, there is a way that you can get some kind of quality exercise.

Let’s assume that the day is so hectic, you only have 5 minutes to squeeze in a workout. Certainly, an optimal workout is out of the question, but you can still get in an exercise session that will be meaningful.

Find yourself a little space, not much but a good 5 foot diameter will do. Start with a quick stretch. Remember, we only have 5 minutes, so that stretch will take about a minute. Touching your toes is excellent for the back and hamstrings. Do that for 30 seconds, and then do the quads, grabbing your ankle while standing straight up and pulling, stretching those quads. 30 seconds. Now you’re ready for the workout.

Start by punching. That’s right, all out punching at maximum intensity until exhaustion. Take a break until your breathing is nearly back to normal and then move to the legs. Running in place, at that same intensity you put into the punches. Do that until exhausted, then break. Alternate like this, and at the end of 5 minutes, you’ll have a nice little workout. Again, not the optimal, but if you only have 5 minutes…
